Abstract
⺠We develop a theory-based observation tool to study inequalities in smoking. ⺠We use generalisability analyses to estimate the observation tool's reliability. ⺠75% Of indicators are reliable, but reliability varies across neighbourhood domains. ⺠Results inform measurement precision and potential validity of theoretical anchors.
