Abstract
► We test whether neighborhood disorder and social capital are associated with C-Reactive Protein. ► High C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is a biomarker for inflammation and cardiovascular disease. ► Disorder is estimated to be positively associated with high CRP among Brazilian immigrants. ► Social capital is estimated to be negatively associated with high CRP among Brazilian immigrants. ► High CRP is also associated with being male (−), education (−), and unauthorized legal status (+)
