Abstract
⺠There was a significant land use/land cover change in Central Asia during 1990-2009. ⺠The NPP of farmland was greatly higher than that of natural vegetation. ⺠The mean actual evapotranspiration of farmland was greatly lower than that of natural vegetation. ⺠The crop production decreased to a lowest level in 1995, and then increased to a stable level in recent years.
