Abstract
⺠Biodiversity monitoring for REDD+ presents a number of distinct challenges. ⺠The policy context and recent literature are reviewed to identify potential solutions. ⺠Agreed policy targets can help identify what should be monitored. ⺠Synergies with other monitoring of biodiversity and greenhouse gases can be exploited. ⺠Clear theories of change can assist in attributing biodiversity change to REDD+.
