Abstract
⺠Fluvial carbon fluxes are estimated from 175 tropical rivers. ⺠The DIC concentrations are lower in equatorial rivers than at other latitudes. ⺠The DOC concentrations in equatorial rivers are the highest in the tropical region. ⺠Tropical rivers provide approximately 48-64% of the global fluvial carbon flux. ⺠Asia has the highest specific carbon yields in the tropical region.
