Abstract
⺠There are rapid, complex changes in coastal marine social-ecological systems. ⺠The interactions are iteratively interdependent and dynamic. ⺠Good management requires using different types of knowledge and knowledge-generating systems. ⺠This requires integrating the insights of natural and social scientists and stakeholders. ⺠Integration can be achieved with appropriate types of governance infrastructure.
