Abstract
⺠The installation of IPBES should improve the science-policy interface. ⺠To become meaningful, high standards of transparency and credibility have to be met. ⺠Topic selection has to be based on participatory processes. ⺠Good governance includes a strict peer-review process. ⺠Open access to data, methods, publications considered and conclusions achieved.
