Abstract
⺠Environmental change and uncertainty pose risks to biodiversity and ecosystem function. ⺠Climate-based diversification of protected area networks could augment adaptive capacity. ⺠We identify lands in “climate space” as potential missing assets in protected area portfolios. ⺠We demonstrate the utility of this method for collaborative landscape-scale decision-making.
