Abstract
⺠We did a review on the current state of knowledge regarding the degradation and removal processes of antibiotics from aqueous matrices. âºÂ Conventional treatments, chlorination, advanced oxidation processes, adsorption, membrane and combined processes were studied. ⺠Ozonation, Fenton/photo-Fenton and semiconductor photocatalysis were the most tested methods. ⺠Combined processes seem to be the best solution for the treatment of effluents containing antibiotics.
