Abstract
⺠The formation of mullite in kaolinite clay is inhibited by the addition of sugarcane bagasse ash. ⺠SCBA is non plastic material decreasing the linear shrinkage of ceramics during firing (replace sand). ⺠The amount of ash to be added is defined by the raw material quality and ash composition.
