Abstract
► District realignment can have important effects on representation and legislative behavior. ► Does the influx of new voters stemming from redistricting impact legislative outcomes? ► We analyze this question following the 2000 U.S. House of Representatives redistricting cycle. ► We find evidence of modifications in voting behavior resulting from redistricting changes.
