Abstract
⺠We compare two groups of EF-hand proteins mainly by molecular dynamics simulations. ⺠Distinct features on structures and dynamics of two groups are quantified. ⺠Critical residues in the EF2-EF3 region are found determining the architecture. ⺠A customized inverse folding approach verifies the importance of these residues.
