Abstract
► We present a hidden Markov model based method for the prediction of transmembrane beta barrel proteins. ► The TMBHMM also predicts the exposure status of residues predicted to be in the membrane. ► The TMBHMM method has been compared with 2 other methods from the literature. ► The TMBHMM method has also been implemented as a web server.
