Abstract
⺠Confirmation of microbial 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ) production by HPLC techniques. ⺠Identification of additional Bacillus strains that produce DNJ in large quantities. ⺠Importance of sorbitol supplementation on the yield of DNJ and precursors. ⺠These findings suggest a method for microbial mass production of DNJ.
