Abstract
⺠Modification of sugarcane bagasse with iron oxyhydroxide (SCB-HFO) was realised. ⺠The number of functional groups on the (SCB-HFO) increased with modification. ⺠Modified FH is an efficient adsorbent for eliminating As(V) from polluted water. ⺠The sorption yield reached maximum value as 98% at pH 4 for As(V) ions. ⺠The sorption capacity of (SCB-HFO) was 22.1 mg/g.
