Abstract
► Developing fruits of V. pompona ssp. grandiflora were analysed. ► Glucovanillin and phenolics were monitored through a validated HPLC-DAD method. ► ESI-MS confirmed the identity of four glucosides and seven aglycones. ► High contents of vanillin and 4-hydroxybenzyl and anisyl alcohols were revealed. ► Amazonian fruits and commercial vanilla showed different chemical profiles.
