Abstract
⺠Herb of Cretan barberry was found to be a new strong antioxidant agent. ⺠SFE technique enables primary purification of the extracts from Cretan barberry. ⺠SFE coupled with ASE leads to obtaining of fractions rich in phenolic acids and flavonoids. ⺠Ethanol:water mixtures were found to be the most effective in phenolic compounds' extraction. ⺠Caffeic and benzoic acids' derivatives and flavonoids were found in the extracts by means of HR-MS.
