Abstract
⺠Two new phenolic compounds and three known compounds were isolated from seeds of Perilla (Perilla frutescens L.). ⺠Their structures were determined by NMR and HPLC-MS experiments. ⺠Isolated compounds were tested for their inhibition against α-glucosidase and aldose reductase. ⺠Luteolin inhibited α-glucosidase and aldose reductase with IC50s of 45.5 and 0.6 μM, respectively.
