Abstract
► Cornelian cherry (Cornus mas) fruits possess high antioxidant activity. ► There is a huge variation among C. mas genotypes in terms of antioxidant activity. ► Permanganate reducing antioxidant capacity (PRAC) was significantly positively correlated with other antioxidant parameters. ► PRAC can also be used as a useful indicator of total antioxidant capacity (TAC). ► Chemometric evaluation also found close interdependence between PRAC, FRAP and anthocyanin content.
