Abstract
⺠The antiangiogenic effects of indole-3-carbinol (I3C) were explored. ⺠Lipopolysaccharide-activated macrophages stimulate tube formation of endothelial cells, and I3C suppresses such enhancement. ⺠These effects are associated with increased production of NO, VEGF, IL-6, and MMP. ⺠Inhibited activations of both macrophages and endothelial cells contribute to the antiangiogenic activity of I3C.
