Abstract
⺠Characterisation and effect of Artemisia annua extracts on intestinal function. ⺠Rosmarinic and chlorogenic acids identified as the main phenolic compounds. ⺠Anti-inflammatory effect of extracts and rosmarinic acid, but not artemisinin. ⺠Inhibition of CYP3A4 and 1A1 activity by extracts. ⺠A. annua phenolic content could reduce inflammation in malaria or chronic diseases.
