Abstract
⺠ODP-Ia was examined as a potential lipid-lowering treatment in rats. ⺠ODP-Ia treatment improved serum lipid profiles and reduced serum LCAT activity. ⺠ODP-Ia treatment reduced hepatic HMG-COA reductase activity. ⺠ODP-Ia treatment increased serum NO level and suppressed the expression of VCAM-1. ⺠OPD-Ia treatment reduced systemic markers of oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation.
