Abstract
⺠Taurine molecule, present in nutraceuticals and energy drinks, undergoes nitrosation. ⺠In the nitrosation of taurine, ethanesultone and isethionic acid are formed. ⺠Ethanesultone shows alkylating capacity over a DNA model molecule. ⺠Human stomach conditions could be a favorable medium for taurine nitrosation.
