Abstract
► Production of lactic acid and biomass on liquid distillery stillage by Lactobacillus rhamnosus. ► Impact of temperature, inoculum concentration, pH control and shaking was studied. ► Maximal lactic acid yield of 73.4% and high biomass production were achieved without nitrogen or mineral supplementation.
