Abstract
⺠Quantitation of phenolic compounds in methanol extracts of the peel, flesh and pits of Prunus Ã domestica L. is presented. ⺠Phenolic compounds were separated by analytical HPLC and identified by nano-ESI-MS or gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. ⺠Major phenolic compounds in the peel, flesh and pits are 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, neochlorogenic acid and amygdalin. ⺠Two guajacyl-glycerin-coniferyl aldehyde isomers and dehydro-diconiferyl aldehyde were detected in the pits.
