Abstract
► Dietary cluster bean produced hypolipidemic effects in high-cholesterol fed rats. ► Decrease in serum cholesterol was additive with dietary cluster bean and garlic. ► Elevated hepatic cholesterol and triglycerides were countered by these additively. ► Biliary secretion of bile acids was increased by cluster bean and garlic. ► Thus, garlic potentiates beneficial effect of cluster bean on tissue lipid profile.
