Abstract
⺠We examined Hg in Common Chanterelles and soil substratum. ⺠Data on Hg in 12 species of Cantharellus genus worldwide are reviewed. ⺠Hg in Chanterelles is low in central and northern compared to southern Europe. ⺠Data on speciation of Hg in Chanterelles are included. ⺠Exposures to Hg for consumers of Chanterelles from Poland are below guidelines on safe exposures.
