Abstract
► Rubeanic acid has functional groups, so can be coordinated to chromium. ► The procedure is based on reduction of complexes of chromium with rubeanic acid after accumulation at the surface of a HMDE. ► The adsorbed complex produce a strong peaks at about −1.4 V. ► Nitrate can be catalysed the reduction current. ► The peak current can be used for ultra trace quantification of chromium in food samples.
