Abstract
► The antioxidant activity was conditioned by the different edaphoclimatic conditions. ► Total phenolics amount was low in the hottest ecotype and high in the coldest one. ► Gallic and ellagic acid were the predominant compounds and the coldest ecotype had the highest values. ► Antioxidant activity is higher in the coldest localities, being the phenolics compounds content be the most important factor.
