Abstract
⺠Antioxidant activity of PG accounts for effects against oxidative stress observed. ⺠PG saponins have potent oxidant-scavenging capacities. ⺠Saponin glycosides showed comparable scavenging capacity for peroxynitrite. ⺠Capacities differ according to the aglycones and sugar residues numbers. ⺠PG saponins suggests for inflammatory diseases and chemical-induced liver injuries.
