Abstract
⺠We have separated and purified LEPS-1 with the molecular weight of 21670 Da. ⺠LEPS-1 was a glucan linked by the β-(1 â 3)-d-pyran glycosidic bond. ⺠LEPS-1 significantly enhanced the antioxidase activity in the body of aged mice. ⺠LEPS-1 significantly inhibit the formation of lipid peroxidation products and slowed down the aging process. ⺠LEPS-1 has a strong anti-ageing activity in d-gal-induced senescent mice.
