Flow injection spectrophotometry using natural reagent from Morinda citrifolia root for determination of aluminium in tea

► Flow injection spectrophotometric method for sensitive determination of aluminium in range of 0.1-1.0 mg L−1 was developed. ► The method used natural reagent obtained from the extraction of Morinda citrifolia root and without purification. ► Reagent from natural origin is environmental friendly and should be classified as a greener reagent. ► The developed method was successfully applied for the determination of aluminium in tea. ► The method is fast, precise and accurate and there is no interference from the matrices of sample.
