Abstract
► First complete chemical analysis of cultivated Ulva clathrata. ► Dietary fibre, protein and ash levels are high and consistent with other Ulvales. ► U. clathrata lipids, mainly in MSS samples, contained more PUFAs than other Ulvales. ► Carotenoid levels were high, although probably reduced by non-optimal drying.
