Abstract
⺠First comprehensive report on evaluation of Indian garlic ecotypes for allicin. ⺠Analytical method validated for estimation of allyl thiosulphinates in garlic. ⺠All ecotypes fit for the pharmacological grade. ⺠Clonal selections had higher allicin values than other breeding materials. ⺠Findings will be useful for pharmaceutical and food processing industries.
