Abstract
⺠Fifteen low-molecular-weight phenolic compounds were identified. ⺠Some of the compounds are never reported in bayberry leaves before. ⺠The compounds identified include phenolic acid, flavan-3-ols, and flavonols. ⺠Flavan-3-ols and flavonol glycoside are abundant. ⺠Immature leaves of two cultivars record the highest level of total phenolics.
