Abstract
⺠Verbascoside was found to be abundant in Penstemon barbatus. ⺠A method of HSCCC was established for rapid separation of verbascoside. ⺠Echinacoside and verbascoside were quantified by HPLC. ⺠P. barbatus could be an ideal alternative resource to yield verbascoside.
