Abstract
⺠We cloned and expressed functional nitroreductase cDNA from Taiwanofungus camphorata. ⺠A 3-D structural model of the TcNr was created based on the known structure of Bacillus cereus. ⺠This TcNr enzyme's properties including kinetic data were studied. ⺠The enzyme is capable of reducing some nitrocompounds that are known to post potential health risks.
