Abstract
⺠Coconut cream and fusel oil, the low-cost natural materials, were converted to valuable esters. ⺠The lipase Palatase ® 20000L was used as the biocatalyst. ⺠The biocatalysis process was carried out in an aqueous system. ⺠The reaction conditions were optimized using the Taguchi method to obtain high yield of esters.
