Abstract
► Ginger exerted a protective effect against STZ-induced diabetes by modulating antioxidant status. ► MDA and protein oxidation were downregulated in a dose-response effect by ginger. ► Ginger showed antigenotoxic effect by inhibiting STZ-induced clastogenic activity.
