Abstract
⺠Major component of Vetiveria zizanioides essential oil is cedr-8-en-13-ol (12.4%). ⺠V. zizanioides essential oil suppress the inflammatory responses of macrophages. ⺠The suppression is correlated with inflammation-related enzymes and cytokines. ⺠This anti-inflammatory activity is associated with its antioxidant activity.
