Abstract
⺠New amine derivatives of Monascus pigment were made by fermentation. ⺠Their anti-obesity effects were analysed at cellular and animal levels. ⺠The amounts of fatty cells and transcriptional factors during cell differentiation were reduced. ⺠The weight gain, epididymal adipose tissue size, and cholesterol content of mice were decreased. ⺠The effects were photographically confirmed with micro CT images of mice.
