Abstract
⺠Sixteen cranberry-derived phenolic and aromatic acids have been identified and quantified in human fluids. ⺠The conjugated phenolics were dominant species in human plasma and urine. ⺠The dietary intake of cranberry led to a fast gastric absorption of low molecular weight phenolics. ⺠Cranberry-derived phenolics were rapidly filtrated by the kidneys and accumulated in urine. ⺠The GC-MS-SIM technique provides a sensitive determination of phenolics in biological fluids.
