Abstract
► Sixteen cranberry-derived phenolic and aromatic acids have been identified and quantified in human fluids. ► The conjugated phenolics were dominant species in human plasma and urine. ► The dietary intake of cranberry led to a fast gastric absorption of low molecular weight phenolics. ► Cranberry-derived phenolics were rapidly filtrated by the kidneys and accumulated in urine. ► The GC-MS-SIM technique provides a sensitive determination of phenolics in biological fluids.
