Abstract
► We studied the hypolipidaemic effect of L. angustifolius proteins in rats. ► L. angustifolius proteins have a strong hypocholesterolaemic effect. ► L. angustifolius proteins do not affect triglyceride and HDL-cholesterol levels. ► L. angustifolius proteins up-regulate SREBP-2 and CYP7A1 genes.
