Abstract
► HR-ICP-MS made possible to detect Fe and Sn in food without an interference problem. ► The bottom up method was used with a practical, detailed and well-explained way. ► Calibration curve, repeatability and recovery were the dominant effects on uncertainty. ► The reasonable percentage relative uncertainties were obtained (8.2-16.4%). ► The concentrations of Cd and Fe in tomato paste samples exceeded legal limits.
