Abstract
⺠The first study of heavy metals in Mytilus galloprovincialis and sediments. ⺠The coastal area of Montenegro, southeastern Adriatic Sea, in two seasons. ⺠Correlation analysis between metals found in mussels and sediments. ⺠The study data were compared with data from the south to northeast Adriatic Sea. ⺠Evaluation of the mussels quality and possible risks of their consumption.
