Abstract
► A novel method for detection of glufosinate in maize samples was developed by ion-pair reversed-phase liquid chromatography with derivatisation. ► The effect of different ion exchange conditions on separation efficiency was studied and 10 mM DTAB and pH 4.0 was used for better and quicker separation. ► The mechanism of ion exchange of glufosinate-CNBF with ion-pair reagent was discussed.
