Abstract
⺠Spinach aqueous extract suppressed antigen-induced degranulation of RBL-2H3 cells. ⺠Active substances in the extract were heat-stable and trypsin-resistant. ⺠The molecular weights of the active substances ranged from 500 Da to 14 kDa. ⺠The extract suppressed degranulation by decreased Ca2+ influx into the cells. ⺠Suppressed Ca2+ influx seems to result from decreased phosphorylation of Syk and PI3K.
