Abstract
► Chemopreventive effect of the essential oil of C. longa on the aflatoxin production. ► We evaluate the antiaflatoxigenic activities of the essential oil of C. longa. ► Results indicate that the essential oil inhibited the toxin production. ► The essential oil tested could be used to control the presence of aflatoxin in food.
