Abstract
⺠Seventy one Portuguese beeswax samples of Apis mellifera were chemically characterised. ⺠Unsupervised chemometric method were used to establish beeswax authenticity. ⺠Chemometric approach was superior in establishing beeswax authenticity. ⺠A successful classification model was obtained by linear discriminant analysis. ⺠The HT-GC-FID chemical profile is a more efficient way of beeswax authentication.
