Abstract
⺠Cardanols are the major constituents of technical Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (tCNSL). ⺠tCNSL showed dose dependent antioxidant activity against DPPH and xanthine-oxidase. ⺠tCNSL protected oxidative stress in S.cerevisiae exposed to paraquat or H2O2. ⺠tNCSL may be used in nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries.
